Times change, if DC comics made comics like they did in the FIFTIES they would go bankrupt. Instead they develop their character, ever heard of that? Character Development? Just because you watched the old Batman show as a kid and were too stupid to see how ridiculous it was, you think that THAT is Batman. The Nolan movies didn't change the character, they brought his actual personality out in the open. After drooling through a lifetime of "silly and funny" Batman movie, I was ecstatic about a movie that actually portrayed his character in the way that it should have been done. Read a Graphic Novel, no where in the novels is Batman ever "silly or funny." He is serious, He is dark. This might be the worst movie review ever. Too bad, "The Dark Knight" isn't idiotic and pointless, like you wanted it to be. Get over yourself, things change! Someone makes a movie that is actually good and has an original thought and you jump all over it. Bill never pointed guns to the heads of ten year olds in his comic strip, and for the life of me I can't see how it added anything to a fictional character that many of us grew up reading. Some have said it added to the realism, but anyone thinking that a man flying around in a cape is realism to begin with is just plain silly, so why add such personal evil to women and children to the plot? I thought Keith Ledger definitely had the best performance, but it took me a while before I could erase the image of him playing with that cowboy’s hiney in the movie Humpback Mountain.
