I swear I actually heard a laugh track after each panel. f**king hell, these are lame. I keep expecting that if I just give them one more try, they'll be a funny one. But, alas, no.

ReplyOn an unrelated note, Bald Bearded Dude is a dead ringer for Dan Didio, EIC of DC Comics and professional corporate d******d. Maybe that was why he rubbed me the wrong way.
for the first time ever, i didn't roll my eyes while reading these comics. that being said, there are quite a few more steps from eye-rolling to chuckling. keep at it though, i guess it's getting better.
ReplyYou know, the title could have been shortened to "How to Experience Schadenfreude". The easiest way to experience schadenfreude is to troll.
ReplyExcept he ends it with cheering the other guy up at the end. That's not exactly schadenfreude. On the bright side, you win some internets for spelling "schadenfreude" right.
3rd panel was good. The rest were incredibly predictable :s

I certainly predicted there would be a third panel...
I totally predicted the punchline would be "birth control."
I don't get the end joke, but the first two panels were amusing.

Finally, a 4th panel that made me chuckle. These are getting better.

Variety? In Basic Instructions? Like, the whole point is to cover many topics while using limited art.
Yep and dinosaur comics has no art at all. It's really only a copy paste of the very first comic. Which in a way makes it slightly less graphically creative than basic instructions.
