Long-time forum member Ben Driscoll has been posting his webcomic Daisy Owl in the forum since July. Today, we take a look back at the things that used to impress us.

It only gets stranger from there at DaisyOwl.com. And check out the Daisy Owl store by clicking on the below, awesome T Shirt (bee shirt?).

"Not really, I just have glasses" tee-hee

Gotta love the ol' floppies...
on a side note, I know cassette tapes are crap-sounding compared to CD's, but COME ON, which would you rather have your girlfriend throwing out of the apartment when she's pissed at you??
AGGGHHH you just ruined my Limited Edition Stones Live CD, b***h!!!
Let's bring back cassette tapes- the easy-to-replace music!!

From the title I assumed it was the old joke about the three-and-a-half inch floppy.

In context, Daisy Owl is funny. You need to read from the beginning because each comic is a continuation of the storyline.

If I may quote from the original page's comments:

"Dakoma
Totally depends on what size of sand you're using - wikipedia claims that a medium grain of sand is one nanolitre http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orders_of_magnitude_(volume)

this times 1.509 million (how many bytes in 1.44mb) gives you 1.5ml - but if you use wikipedia's 1 microlitre measurement for a large grain of sand then you would get 1.50 litres."

meaning it is not fake, Mr. Owl is only using bigger sand

From Wiki, Average volume of a Medium grain of sand = 1x10^-12. This multiplied by 1,509,949,44 gives a volume of approx. 1.51x10^-6 m3, which is equavalent to approx 1.51 millilitres.

The volume of 1 cup = 16 tablespoons = 1/2 pint = 0.2365882368 liters = 236.5882368 milliliters. Therefore, a standard measuring cup can hold approx. 156.7 times as many grains of sand as would fit on a 1.44 floppy (if grains of sand were equivalent to bytes).

Therefore, I conclude...FAKE!!!11 Haxor! LiEz! I need to get laid...

I wonder if 1,509,949.44 grains of sand really have the volume of a measuring cup. I'm not about to find out by the way.
