ReplyIf you took the time to go to his site, you would realize that to "get" the comic strip, you actually had to read other strips. Because it does go in a somewhat story-like format. And the only other webcomic on Cracked was WN, and that was just shit.
I've seen one or two funny Daisy Owls before but this one was just stupid. The thing about farting with your headphones on was kinda funny, but then it turn out OHHHHHHHHHHHMMMMMMMMMMYYYYYYYYYYYYYYGOOOOOOOOOOOOOD! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH! THE PERSON HE WAS IM'ING WASENT EVEN WHO HE THOUGHT IT WAS! HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAH! WHERE IS M NIGHT SHYAMALAN? LETS GET HIM IN HERE TO DIRECT THE MOVIE VERSION!

Most of the time Daisy Owl is either unfunny or funny. This one actually kind of pissed me off.
I love Daisy Owl. If you don't understand the humour from the start theres no point in reading on with the series. It's observational humour but very subtle. The facial expressions as simple as they are really bring this webcomic to life.

ReplyThe joke is that the polar bear was humiliated. Also, inventing honey is that bear's job, it's not a joke but it's part of continuity.
ReplyWhile I don't understand why people don't understand/don't like the humor of daisy owl the verdict remains that the populace doesn't like it. The people that do like it like it because they have invested enough time into ALL the comics to the point to where they know what's going on and they happen to like it.
ReplyYou should only send comics that can't be bothered to make a story arc and just jumps from one gag to the other. Oh and make sure that they have a punchline at the end of the comic cause apparently you have to have a punchline at the end of the comic for it to be funny cause relatable humor isn't enjoyed much here either apparently.
You know what you should REALLY do with comics? You should send comics that few people know about. Send a large variety as well. You send ten or so comics to this place and seven of them feel and look like abnormality.
If the mass-majority don't read up on Daisy Owl and know all the characters and such, and if that's necessary to 'getting' panels like these, then shouldn't Cracked be showing the mass-majority comics where you can get the joke without being familiar with the comic? This was humorous I suppose, but I don't feel like there was much a punch-line.
ReplyLaughs at how a lot of people are complaining about the comment not being funny/there not being a joke. If you guys knew the characters or were familiar with the comic then you wouldn't be so confused by it. Even if you're not that familiar with it, the joke is pretty easy to get.
