Long-time forum member Ben Driscoll has been posting his webcomic Daisy Owl in the forum since July. Today, we learn that living like a bachelor is no excuse to abandon the art of fine living.

It only gets stranger from there at DaisyOwl.com.

That one was kind of funny. I smiled briefly! We're getting somewhere!!

Ooh, ooh! I'd like to join in the contrasting of Daisy Owl and White Ninja!

While Daisy Owl is often mildly amusing, White Ninja gives babies cancer.

white ninja meeting daisy owl would make both universes implode on each other.
seriously, look it up.

...

Now seriously, a 5yo draws funnier s**t than this.

What the hell kind of comic relies on its target audience to have a knowledge of the things that Martha Stewart says?

i disagree, lol_alf, this comic is not the best webcomic ever.
it's good, only slightly mediocre in storylines, and awfully lacking in art.

Make a White Ninja meets Daisy Owl.

This is actually one of the better webcomics that ever existed. Anyone who disagrees is probably an alcoholic that enjoys eating potato chips dipped in hot candle wax.

You can't really compare Daisy Owl with White Ninja because they are very different; Daisy owl, for instance, includes jokes and actual humor. White Ninja, in contrast, does not include anything remotely funny and instead uses other devices, such as being retarded.

I liked this one. "Wow, you're like a ghetto Martha Stewart!"
"It's a bad thing."

In contrast, White Ninja gives me gas.

Daisy Owl makes me smile, not a belly laugh, but a nice smile :)

Unlike White Ninja which makes me vomit over my computer and spend the next nine hours sobbing and eating spiders.

the punchline is that martha stewart's catch phrase is "it's a good thing" so here she's saying it's a bad thing. yep.

Actually, usually, the wax has time to cool on the way from the candle to the mouth when it's just on a thin layer - and then you're chewing a waxy potato chip. Which isn't . . . OK, yes, it is bad, nevermind.

You know, unless you actually had those wax candies when you were a kid, in which case it might be a pleasing trip down memory lane. Who knows?

I liked your tirade. It was amusing, and I somewhat agree with the idea of there being less generalized, witty coments.

I do like Daisy Owl, but I think Cracked is not putting up the best ones.

I think I understand that this comic is not to be an actual punchline but an extension of larger plot in the story of the comic.

In other words:

Post comics that are funny by themselves.

@AlexH

It's just as pointless to suggest that people shouldn't criticise something you like simply because you like it, or because it's been given a regular slot on Cracked. We've got a right to praise or criticise anything posted on here, that's the idea behind a comments section. Admittedly, it's irritating if someone just posts: 'gayyy' or 'that sucked', but there's no point in getting pissed off about it and defending the comic to the death.

@ Daisy Owl

It was really original of Driscoll to point up a character as a "ghetto" version of a white, middle-class celebrity, I found it quite refreshing and irreverent. And the pay-off: WOW! Can he say that?! I've never seen anyone satirise Martha Stewart, let alone turn her most famous catch-phrase on its head with such world-weary indignation. I don't think I'd be alone in saying that this is the greatest webcomic ever written.
