How NOT to Fix a Car

Long-time forum member Ben Driscoll has been posting his webcomic Daisy Owl in the forum since July. After only a couple of strips we were fairly certain of a few things: it was about a little girl being raised by an owl, and it was cool as hell. Here is another one of our favorites.

It only gets stranger from there at DaisyOwl.com.

Daisy Owl is a great comic. There have been better ones than this particular strip, however.

Awful. Please stop posting this comic. Zero-humor. Just because it's strange in no way means it's funny. Cracked is a great site but you seriously need to revamp your taste in web comics. Try Married-to-the-Sea. Much better

Cracked staff: please read intently:
Web combics are unpublished and make no money in a capatalist society for a reason. That reason is they are niche humor which only the most devoted or obessed people will give money to support.
Please stop trying to delight us with web comics. They are not humorous to the majority of us.
We, the cracked readers, come to this site to read arcticles written by those who make money doing so - the main reason they make money doing so is for the reason that they are actually good.
We, the cracked readers, do not appreciate these attempts at dumbing down our website with these aloof representations of a society where the everyday and the obvious become popular.
If i want to see every day stupidity, I'll do it by driving around in town and commenting on the ignorance of others who can't grasp the concept of motor vehicle operation.

You know, I'm liking Owl, but I'm kinda doubting Cracked's sense for webcomics.

Why no love for heavy hitters like Sluggy Freelance, or Sinfest?

if this was an Iraq metaphor then wouldn't someone be pouring Surge onto the fire to put it out?

errrmmm... Is this cracked's staffs sense of humor towards us? to post comics that don't make any comedic sense? I could've read family circus and got more chuckles...

Awful. I feel like there's a chance he wasn't even trying to be funny. Like he just didn't bother.

The all-capitals, punctuationless final speech bubble is reminiscent of Dinosaur Comics.

...How much of a dick does that make me sound?

It's not often the last panel of a comic actually makes me laugh but this one did.

I think he meant "holy s**t, you're retarded speakman".

Either that or he's demanding that we 'holy s**t' our 'retarded speakman'. This would be bad news for me, as I neither possess a 'retarded speakman' nor know how to 'holy s**t' one.

Who cares? There're way too many rumors coming out each day. And most of them turn out to be untrue. I even start thinking if it is true that Charlie Sheen once found his love

DON'T TEST ME, OWL.

Owl has pointed out the gross stupidity of using a flare. Then he punctuated it by pointing out that the flare has set the lawn on fire. Steve the Bear is adamant that he keep using it and let it burn.

This is a metaphor for the Iraq War, as President "Bear" Bush burned the Iraqis, even as he, in turn, suffered for it.

Congrats, you've just ruined the joke by asking for an explanation.
