Children are stupid. We know it's not their fault, but it doesn't stop us from laughing at them. Over the past month, these adorable little idiots have been inundated with the same election coverage as you: the important issues, the less important stuff we actually pay attention to.

We asked you to fire up MS Paint to show us the most important stories as they might draw them. The winner gets $50. But first the runners up.

So after Obama won, I had a chat with my brother, ho's 3 years old, and I honestly think he would've won this contest by himself:

Me-"So Declan, we have a new president now."

Declan-"Spider-Man?"

Me-"No, goofball. Don't you know what the president is? He's the boss of the whole country. Where we live."

Declan-"We live on the Earth."

Me-"Yes, and our country's ON the Earth. The President is in charge of America."

Declan-"Like the black Power Ranger?"

Me-"No n- *pause* Yes, exactly like the black Power Ranger."

Declan-"I like the Power Rangers."

Me-"So do I, Declan. So do we all"...

Considering that 5 year olds aren't nearly as articulate as most of these entries make it seem, and that, even then, there aren't enough 5 year olds who pay attention to politics to warrant a good joke about one misunderstanding the election, I would say this was a bad choice for a contest in the first place. The historical events thing was great because elementary school kids learn about history in bits and pieces, but not the specifics of an election.

I do agree with the general consensus that this one was a dud, though. #7 was the only one that made me laugh.
