My original title for this comic was just "deal," as that's supposed to be the confusing/weird part, i.e. "what the hell kind of deal did they have exactly?" I'm bad at getting my jokes across so only one or two people got that from it. Like the one guy said I think I depend entirely on hindsight....

I think it's a concept that has been done before, but with an interesting twist. However, as with the previous "cancer as a vigilante" comic, it relies far too much on hindsight. Hindsight is good once in a while, but the kind you use in most of your comics is just a bit of a stretch.

Apac - the flash animated page-flipping thing loads a bit slow. For webcomics you really want a plain simple display with your pages as PNG, JPEG or GIF that people can click through.

Well, i dont think the comics are alike, scythemantis' comic involves his eyes having a mind of their own, a perverted one at that...while explosm's involved having your eyes fall outand you bleeding. Besides, the eye gags have been very present in cartoons, so its not really copying

Criticism generally involves things that can help the artist grow and improve. Then again, there's very little actual criticism in the Cracked Reader Comments section. It isn't just snakepitter that is guilty of this. Also, I can't believe there are idiots that don't get this cartoon. It's fairly straightforward and easy to understand. Some of you are just as bad as the YouTube crowd. Also, to the person that posted the Cyanide and Happiness (Explosm) comic, are you sure they did it first? scythe's comic has been on his website for a while. Perhaps it would be good to post dates before you cry "OMG COPYCAT." Besides, scythe's joke is different.

Actually, I already take the time to respond personally to most comments (positive or negative) if they're over, like, a couple words in length. I think putting a big explanation right on comics would probably ruin them more often than help them. I'm kidding that this obviously doesn't involve tentacle rape, though. That's a perfectly reasonable interpretation, but it's not, like I said, the part that's supposed to be "funny." In all honesty I think of my comics more as absurd scary stories than jokes.

Apparently I've missed a few C&H comics in the past, I read the entire archives in a few days a month or so ago, and I supposed I missed the part where they take a break from painful puns and jokes about Cancer/Aids patients and rape/molestation to do a comic like this. Regardless, like the other guy said, its been done before, probably around the time your parents finally decided not to go with the abortion they desperately wanted (and looking at most of the comments, they should have done it). Anyway, for the artwork alone, this beats out C&H and every other comic on this website, ever. So suck on that, C&H, Perry Bible Fellowship (or whatever that shit is called) jerk-offs.

Tartra is correct, this HAS been done a hundred times before. Explosm's version wasn't original or unique at all. The same "oh god, what's happened to my eyes?!" punchline was done long before their site even existed. THIS comic was my attempt to come up with an entirely new, entirely different parody of this old gag, and whether or not my version is funny, I KNOW it hasn't been done before. Apparently many of you only looked at the first two panels and/or never saw a cartoon in your entire life.
