ReplyMaybe DeNiro wouldn't seem like he was phoning it in these days if there were some decent scripts out there. Honest to god, you're more likely to see some shitty remake these days than something thoughtful and original (and if you want it to be good too, forget it).

ReplyOh, and Magicalpants: I thought Reeves was decent in The Devil's Advocate. Decent, compared to Reeves' usual slop.
This might be decent if De Niro wasn't a great actor. Keanu Reeves is still alive and he sucks, devil's advocate? Come on, the only believable part about his role in that was that just like a lawyer I know he's an asshole.

ReplyI don't know much about De Niro, except I've liked a lot of his movies... and, I don't really get the comic, I guess phoning it in, or whatever... been too long since I've seen Casino, if that's really where it's from... *shrugs* Glad it brought joy to some people, though.
